Frisco has been adding schools and families faster than almost anywhere in the country, and that has a practical effect on a child: teachers change, campuses change, and the thread of what a student has actually mastered is easy to lose. A skills platform is useful precisely there. Every skill is listed by grade with a code, so you can see what your child has covered and what is still shaky, whichever campus they were at when it was taught.
On the Texas question, the honest answer: FlyingMinds is not a STAAR item bank and does not reproduce released state questions. It teaches the skills those questions are built from — main idea and inference, evidence, text structure, grammar and punctuation, number sense, fractions and multi-step word problems — and practises them until they hold under pressure.

Why families here use it between activities
A Frisco school night is often already spoken for by practice, rehearsal or a game. Do you have a location in Frisco?
No — everything is online, which is why there is no drive and no centre fee. Live classes meet over Zoom, in Central Time.
We move campuses a lot. Does progress follow the child?
Yes — progress is saved to the child's own login, not to a class or a campus, so it follows them.
My child already gets good grades. Is this useful?
Usually yes, and the reason is boredom rather than gaps: strong students can work a grade up in the same skill, since every skill is taught at every grade with harder texts and bigger numbers.
Can two children share one subscription?
Yes. A family account can hold several children, each with their own login and their own progress.
What if we stop?
Cancel from the account page and the billing stops at the end of the month. There is no contract and no cancellation call.
Who teaches the classes?
A classroom teacher with many years and thousands of students behind her, who writes the curriculum on this site herself. Classes are kept small on purpose.
