Who is speaking, to whom, and what is happening? One or two sentences, no interpretation yet.
Pick one choice about sound or shape (rhyme, rhythm, a line break, a repeated word, the stanza shape). Quote it. Say what it does.
Pick one image, simile, metaphor or personification. Quote it. Explain what it makes the reader see and what it suggests.
